Awareness Raising Pop-Up

In early December, the Friends had a 'Pop-Up' session in the hospital canteen to raise awareness about their work and activities. Paul (one of the Trustees) brought along a tombola with prizes, and many of the committee members and volunteers represented the Friends throughout the day, including Sona, who said:

"Lots of people were interested and came across for a chat. There must have been over 20 people in the 2 hours I was there. Many said they wished the Friends shop would come back. They loved the better prices for drinks and snacks, and commented on the better range of items to buy, and the opportunity to get a newspaper"

Many people wrote their comments on post-it notes that were available, and Ruth (the Friends Chair) collected these, which will no doubt help to inform discussions with the hospital management team.
